Bentley Story is the newest addition to the Entergy Arkansas Business Development team. Story comes from AEDC (Arkansas Economic Development Commission) and will be focused on new project development. Below is a quick Q&A with Story to learn more about him and what’s to come with his efforts at Entergy.
What brought you to Entergy?
The opportunity to work for an impressively successful and reputable company and team. I’ve had the opportunity to work with the Entergy Arkansas Team in various capacities over the last 15 years and joining their team was something I couldn’t pass up.
What about your background and experience makes you excel at economic and business development?
I’ve had unbelievable co-workers and mentors that have allowed every team I’ve worked on to be successful.
Prior to joining Entergy, you were at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), what was one of your most memorable projects you managed?
I was fortunate to work on the team that recruited Big River Steel to Arkansas about 10 years ago. I learned a lot and made some great memories along the way.
Why is Arkansas a great place to do business?
The business climate: which includes a lot of the obvious things like low taxes, low cost and reliable utilities (of course), attractive regulatory environment, but also excellent customer service…Arkansans are problem solvers that want to see industry succeed.
When meeting with prospective business customers, what is the one thing you hope they know about you?
I’m passionate about Arkansas and genuinely want businesses to succeed here because of the overall impact they will have on so many facets of our economy.
When you’re not in the office, where can we find you?
Spending time with my family and hopefully squeezing in some golf every now and then.
